As the FCC enforces stricter regulations to eliminate the "lead generation loophole," obtaining one-to-one consent and proof of consent from consumers is mandatory. This page will guide you through boberdoo's Forms Builder to set yourself up to comply with the FCC's regulations with Dynamic Consent. Whether you're setting up forms, configuring consent options or customizing layouts for your business, we provide step-by-step instructions to ensure your lead generation practices stay compliant and effective. Let's get started!
Dynamic Consent
The FCC recently implemented stricter regulations that significantly impacted the industry. These new rules are designed to combat the rise of robocalls and spam texts by requiring one-to-one consent from consumers for each seller they may contact. This is a significant change from previous practices, where broad or automatic consent was often assumed.
Dynamic consent is the solution in response to these regulations. It allows consumers to explicitly choose which sellers they want their information shared with, ensuring that each lead provides specific consent to be contacted. This method aligns with the FCC's requirements. It enhances the quality of leads, by opting in, it shows they are genuinely interested in the products or services offered.
boberdoo offers several solutions to help businesses comply with these new regulations, ranging from simple click-through traffic options to more customized dynamic consent forms. By adopting dynamic consent, companies can continue to thrive in the lead generation industry while maintaining compliance with the FCC or in the Medicare world, the CMS as well.
Form Builder
To start using the Form Builder, check out the Forms Builder tab. On your first time there, no forms will have been made yet, but when they are, you will see each form on this page. Select the correlating lead type subtab on the left to start creating forms for that lead type. It shows the FormID, which is helpful if you need support on any forms or have any questions, tools for editing the form, consent settings, thank you page settings, third-party scripts, form field configuration, form layout, the option to copy the form, form history, view the form and creating a link for the form. This may seem like many options, but if you go through the Form Wizard, you can access it at the top of the Forms Builder page using the Add Form button.
This will be explained more below, but there are also options for default field configuration and default form layout on the top of the page. Each form will also show when it was created, the last time a change was made, the form name, the lead type the form is used in, attached source, landing page, form key, form counters for desktop and mobile, an option to set the status active and inactive and an action to delete the form. When you hover over the counters for desktop and mobile, you will see your total views, pings and posts from that timeframe.
Form Wizard
The Form Wizard is a user-friendly way to set up these forms for standard use cases or using dynamic consent. You start on the Form Settings tab, where you set the basics for your form: the name, setting is at standard or a dynamic consent form, the default source, the landing page, and what CSS style you would like to use for the form. You can create CSS templates in the same named subtab that we will talk about further down in this guide. Using default CSS is an excellent place to start. If you don't have any templates set up, you can always change the style later; it will not affect what's on the form, just how it looks.
The next page is the Consent Settings, where if you choose dynamic consent, you will have different options for Submit Options and different TCPA texts for different results based on how the user matches to buyers when using the form. There are options for no matches, exclusive matches and non-exclusive matches to keep all your TCPA text compliant and user-friendly. The standard form will just have one option.
The third page goes over the thank you pages and how the companies will display based on no matches, exclusive matches or non-exclusive matches, similar to the TCPA text options.
Third-party scripts are the next option, and you can attach your Jornaya, TrustedForm and Google Tag Manager scripts/IDs to get the correct tracking and consent certificate. You can configure TrustedForm in the Outside Services tab of the boberdoo system.
Field Configuration is next. Here, you add which fields the form will have, whether they will be hidden or required, and create your own fields with input types, names, IDs, values, and more.
The sixth step in the Form Wizard is building the layout for the form. This is where you can add multiple pages and details to the form and what will go on each page. For the dynamic consent form flow, you will need multiple pages, and certain things will need to happen on certain pages to have the dynamic consent flow work to the FCC's standards.
Finally, you're done! Copy the embed code for your form, paste it on your site and try it!
Default Fields Configuration
This subtab lets you set up the default fields and how they will look for each lead type. You can change these fields for each individual form, but if there are fields or a specific way you want them to show up, be hidden, or have other options, change the default field configuration to speed up the process of creating forms instead of changing each to almost the same thing manually.
Default Form Layout
This subtab is similar to the default fields configuration, which creates the default for each form layout based on lead type. Create a default for each lead type and save yourself time when creating forms by only changing small things for the form layout when using the Form Wizard.
CSS Template
This is where the magic happens: make your forms pixel-perfect for your website! With our user-friendly visual editor, you can create CSS templates to beautify your forms, or you can use our code editor for a more technical customized option.
